Visually step back into an old-world landscape that is the historic gateway to the city of Hot Springs, a place still visible today along Fall River Road, a stretch of Hwy 385 from Hot Springs to Maverick Junction.

Fall River's natural beauty combined with the sandstone quarries, its innate colorfulness and interesting geography of the canyon, led to the development of picturesque Hot Springs.

The Fall River Falls canyon area formerly housed a sandstone quarry and its legacy lives on in vibrant earth-tone colors of the valley reflected in the sandstone buildings of Hot Springs like the Evans Hotel.
